JIL CANADA IN TRANSITION: THE TRUTHS
The Jesus is Lord Church – Canada Chapter is in transition at this time. A new set of leaders has been installed and new policies are being implemented. The spirits of lie and deception are causing confusion among JIL leaders and members in Canada and North America. The Executive Management Board or EMB hence is currently addressing this crisis situation through this transition with resolve, firmness and warfare through the mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit.
For the protection of the precious souls entrusted by God in this Ministry born in the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ, the EMB prays for every JIL member’s Holy Spirit-led enlightenment and understanding of the following truths:
THE TRUTH IS, Pastor Aldrin Navo – EMB member, being the Director for International Operations 1 – submitted his irrevocable resignation on April 11 and the detailed reasons for his resignation on April 13. To summarize, the reasons centered on alleged unaddressed administrative concerns such as his “Restructuring Proposal,” church operations fund and compliance with the legal requirements of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Before he emailed his resignation letter and the detailed reasons for it, he already mentioned it to Sis. Joni Villanueva-Tugna, JIL Executive Director, when the two of them talked over the phone also on April 11. Sis. Joni asked Ptr. Adrin to call her on the time most convenient for him and during the phone conversation, she asked why Ptr. Monette Navo was laid off when, in fact, the agreement in December 2011 was that there would be no person to be dislodged from the Ministry when changes in JIL Canada are implemented. In a memorandum sent by Ptr. Aldrin dated April 1, he said that he laid off Ptr. Monette because her position as Administration Officer was “not needed anymore due to significant workload reduction in the Department.”
THE TRUTH IS, Sis. Joni, upon receiving Ptr. Aldrin’s resignation letter, again immediately got in touch with Ptr. Aldrin through emails and BBM and asked him to reconsider his decision. She asked for a meeting with him and Ptr. Monette and invited them to go to Manila for the meeting. However, Ptr. Aldrin reiterated that his resignation is irrevocable. In a matter of days, Sis. Joni received several other irrevocable resignations from pastors from both Canada West and USA West, the jurisdiction assigned to Ptr. Aldrin. Interestingly, the same manner of resignation was done: A resignation letter was sent and another document followed detailing the reasons for the resignation. The reasons were almost a duplicate of the one Ptr. Aldrin had sent.
THE TRUTH IS, Sis. Joni immediately led a Team that would address the situation on the ground. The Team flew to Canada on April 26. (April 26 was the earliest flight schedule that could be secured, although the Team was ready to fly earlier.) The Team was supposed to have a dialogue with Canada pastors and leaders to address all the administrative concerns being raised.
THE TRUTH is all the administrative concerns were addressed one-by-one:
Restructuring Proposal – The Restructuring Proposal was being attended to. In fact, Ptr. Bobot Bernardo, the one designated by the EMB to craft the Church Operations Manual (COM), was constantly in touch with Ptr. Aldrin through Sis. Maritess Reyes, Secretary of the EMB. Please take note that JIL Canada is only one of the many chapters of JIL’s International Operations. The JIL expansion program being done on an international platform has to consider not just Canada but all other areas. As such, the concerns of Canada must be synchronized with the concerns of the entire International Operations. What is unfortunate is that the communication between the two pastors stopped even before they could finish their tasks. Other matters overtook.
o Further, the truth is – contrary to Ptr. Aldrin’s claim that there was no consultation about the changes in JIL Canada – he was one of the two pastors who first knew about it. Bro. Eddie Villanueva spoke his heart and vision about expanding JIL’s international operations in the presence of Ptr. Aldrin and Ptr. Edgar Valdoria, EMB Director for International Operations 2, as early as October 2010.
Church Operations Fund – The EMB could not believe that Ptr. Aldrin did not release fund support to churches thriving from 18-24 Canadian dollars for operational expenses. It was his sole decision to not release fund support/augmentation, and he kept the EMB blind about this. The Composite Team who facilitated last December 2011 the initial implementation of the expansion of operations of Canada through Canada East and Canada West left 750,000 Canadian dollars each for East and West to augment funds for church operations, pending the determination of the actual financial status of JIL – Canada Chapter (and the entire North America). The said amount was supposed to be added to church operations fund for the period January to March 2012. But the Team led by Sis. Joni found out that this 750,000 fund has been left intact for JIL West and was never disbursed to churches. As worse, Ptr. Aldrin, on his own decision, laid off Ptr. Monette and other staff ostensibly and made it appear that it was due to a shortage of fund.
o The determination of these churches’ financial status was hampered by the failure (wittingly or unwittingly) of the Finance Ministry of JIL Canada to provide the necessary information to the Composite Team who went there in December 2011, which was quite a surprise.
CRA – For years, Ptr. Aldrin was the only one who directly coordinates with the JIL Canada lawyer, Robert Hayhoe. After his resignation, Sis. Joni and the Team with her talked to the lawyer and inquired about the status of JIL Canada’s CRA concerns and corporation’s registration. The lawyer said that JIL has been complying with the requirements and there is no threat of CRA forfeiting JIL funds in favor of the government, neither is there any threat of revocation of corporation registration.
o Upon consultation with the accountant, the Team was also assured that JIL Canada has been compliant with its undertaking with the CRA. Hence, there is no threat whatsoever from CRA of forfeiture of church funds or any other danger to JIL’s corporate existence in Canada.
THE TRUTH IS, during the series of dialogues, the Team has sincerely asked for forgiveness for all the misinterpreted acts and problems brought about by administrative concerns being attributed to the parent church in the Philippines. Sadly, this humility was retaliated by rudeness, disrespect, and unwillingness to listen to whatever explanation given by the Team. The truth is, the Team found out through several confessions to them, that the questions raised during the dialogues were scripted and that there had been a prior agreement that the resignations would still push through even after the dialogues.
THE TRUTH IS, these pastors and leaders resigned en masse with threats that no one would be left in JIL. They vehemently demanded that they will not stay in the JIL fold unless the JIL leadership sets up a Board of Directors instead of operating through a Theocratic Church Government with Bro. Eddie Villanueva as Executive Bishop. Further, the truth is, the JIL Constitution ALREADY explicitly provides for a Board of Trustees as well as an Executive Management Board. These two bodies make the JIL Constitution BALANCED since it provides not only the biblical Theocratic Church Government but also a Board of Trustees and an Executive Management Board. These two bodies assist the Executive Bishop in both policy formulation and policy implementation.
THE TRUTH IS, while the JIL Constitution properly identifies and ensures the biblical Theocratic Church Government through Corporation Sole – and yet with a Board of Trustees and an Executive Management Board – the JIL Church Worldwide has its JIL Worldwide Mission Foundation and the JIL Colleges/Christian School Foundation where major assets/properties are named. JIL being a Corporation Sole will only use its viable nature when there is a need to protect the church from possible government interference by invoking the “separation of church and state” and when there are pastors, leaders, workers who might be tempted to steal the church money and assets/properties.
THE TRUTH IS that the now controversial prayer of Ptr. Edgar Valdoria has been paraded as an alleged proof that JIL has now turned into a cult. It must be understood, however, that it was his personal prayer uttered during the Pastors Congress 2011. It was his personal prayer spoken “with the burning desire for the theme of the Pastors Congress 2011 to be realized by every pastor and leader of the JIL Church. By the testimony of his life, he pointed out this timeless truth: every pastor and leader must be beyond reproach and living in the holiness of God for Him to truly pour out His overflowing blessings on His people.”
THE TRUTH IS, “the JIL Leadership, in no shape or form, explicitly teaches, supports, endorses or glorifies the cursing or the call to rain curses on any member of the Body of Christ and/or their families.”
THE TRUTH IS, upon Sis. Joni’s persistence, she was finally able to personally talk to Ptr. Aldrin and Ptr. Monette last May 2. Sis. Joni told Ptr. Aldrin that all his concerns have been properly answered and she also personally asked for forgiveness for the seeming shortcomings and flaws of the church’s administrative systems.
THE TRUTH IS, Ptr. Aldrin finally admitted to Sis. Joni that he resigned because he no longer believes in Bro. Eddie and the JIL Constitution. He also said that he no longer wants to submit himself under Bro. Eddie’s leadership.
THE TRUTH IS, the pastors and leaders who resigned have already conducted their worship service last May 13, just a week after they last attended JIL worship services (May 6). The Team also found out that the hall these pastors/leaders used for the worship service was already reserved last April, way before the dialogues could be scheduled. And that their attendance in JIL worship services last May 6 was for purposes of convincing the congregation to leave JIL.
Yes, the EMB is resolute and firm in addressing this crisis situation. It is because the flocks have to be protected. This is JIL’s accountability to God. A “Church Strengthening Program” in Canada is currently being facilitated. Trainings and mentorship for the newly-installed pastors and leaders will be conducted by a Team of JIL Senior Pastors sent to Canada by the parent church in the Philippines. Also, Rev. Alex Garcia has been appointed as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of JIL Canada West (North America Hemisphere – West).
Where is Bro. Eddie Villanueva, JIL Spiritual Director and International President, through all of these? He is giving the directions and guidance to the EMB and, at the same time, leading the waging of a spiritual warfare against the spirits of lie and deception that create division in the JIL Ministry. He admonishes the JIL people like Paul did to Timothy: “… Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have learned from the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:12-15).
Kapatid kindly ask your tormentor what can they say about the issues in Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan why JIL churches of Eddie Villanueva are slowly deteriorating and soon to be gone. PLAIN and SIMPLE because it’s Eddie who is being lifted up not God anymore.
Singapore congregation returned all the 6.5 M and musical instruments and all the workers resigned, in Canada only VA filled pastors only 4 of them remained in the whole of canadian hemisphere, VA means Valdorias Anointed…he he he……
In hong kong and taiwan churches why tithers left the church because they asked too much, 40% of the church fund should be sent to Eddie in Philippines which is out of Biblical context.
In Italy you wait at the end of the year and all Jil churches will be gone, because leadership in Italy is not satisfied with EmB’s response, it’s Eddie Villanueva being set as god already.

Really? So what happened to Ptr Edgar infamous Prayer for the curse? It was heard and watched by millions around the world. It seems that JIL, the higher management in particular tolerating this kind of unbiblical act. Although they may say it’s “personal prayer”, but should be accurate prayer as he(Ptr Edgar) is a Sr Pastor and responsible and should be accountable. Stain has been done, unless Ptr Edgar and the Mangement of JIL admits this mistake and make a public statement of humbleness before the eyes of the Lord and the whole Christian (not only JIL) in general, JIL will be in bridge over troubled water.
